Mark Reid, the master face and body painter from New Mexico, first book is of a favourite subject and a popular one with all face painters.
“The designs in this book were created on the spur of the moment without planning,” explained Mark. “Being able to produce designs by request, without hesitation, is the key to endless possibilities. I have spent many years practicing and figuring out where to put the lines and how to make them work. Now I want to share some of this experience and knowledge with you.”
Mark Reid is affectionately known as the ‘King of Cats’ by the face and body painting community. After graduating from Colorado Institute of Art he made a living from fine art, graphic design and murals. He started face painting at festivals, as a hobby, in 1994. In 2002 he saw his first face-painted tiger and became a full-time face and body painter.
